I recently purchased a stein that is missing it's lid. It is pictured in Manusov and Wald's second book of character steins, p. 204, MI-28 & 9. An identical lid is also shown on the preceeding page (MI-27). What I need at this juncture is someone that has this particular stein and who would be willing to loan it out temporarily so that a mold can be made of the lid insert. I have a professional available that can make a mold of the insert and do the pewter work necessary to complete the stein.
