I doubt you will get much help. Your stein without a lid is an example of the numerous mass produced steins that were intended as souvenirs. There was not much attention to detail and little pride in manufacture, hence a lack of a manufacturer's mark. These are not really considered collectible by antique stein collectors. Without a manufacturer's mark or an old catalog showing this stein it will be virtually impossible to identify with a particular manufacturer.
You might want to review the articles in the Library section and at The Beer Stein Library (see the Links section) to get an idea of what is considered collectible. I hope you consider joining SCI as that is an excellent way to better understand your new found interest.
