Your stein is called "Upper Bavaria." The blue and white diamonds repesent Bavaria. There should be a Munich Child on the lid. The saying on the stein is, "Und so lustig wie mir san, so stehts in koan Buch, hupfen glei d'füss auf von selb in die Schuch.” (And as merry as we are, you will find it in no book, because our feet are hopping all by themselves in the shoes.) The wording on the bottom should be "Ges Gesch," which is an abbreviation meaning legally protected. The 29 is probably to the right and below the Mettlach tower mark, which means it was made in 1929. Roman numerals are used to indicate different sizes for that form number. In this case a Roman numeral II indicates a 1/2 L size. There are two companion steins in this series, 3143 and 3144. The price range for these steins in mint condition is $600 to $750.
