It bills itself as an American city in Europe. In the early 1950s it was the largest U.S. military base outside the U.S. The coat-of-arms of the city is on your stein. The castle and inn are scenes near the city. Visit http://www.westerwald-keramik.de/industrie_wcorzelius2.htm to see the Werner Corzelius mark. Your stein is probably a contemporary souvenir.
