The steins in question can be viewed on this page, http://home.earthlink.net/~ronaldegray/index.html.There are three pages of pictures, although the last page is not titled correctly. Kirsner identifies the 1613 and 1622 types as by Marzi & Remy. This would indicate that there is no manufacturer's mark and I presume that it was identified by an old Marzi & Remy catalog. Kirsner is the only one to identify 6044 as being by Marzi & Remy, but he does not remember the source. Ammelounx and Fox identify the 1613 and 1622 types as Marzi & Remy. Vogt and Schmidt catalogs that I have only had one such type of stein in each auctioneer's catalogs. Neither identified a manufacturer, Vogt did state it was Westerwald though.
The variance in the capacity lines would seem to disspell your theory as using the capacity line to identify Marzi & Remy. Unless, of course, you think the one with the underlining under the number is not a Marzi & Remy. The steins definitely do seem to be by the same manufacturer though.
