Hi JC,
Your best bet will be to contact David Harr (steinsetc@charter.net). However, he will not be able to give you a price without seeing the stein and determining what would be an appropriate lid for the stein. The factors included in the price would be: (a) the lid, (b)the labor to install it, and (c) the shipping costs (including packaging). The labor and the shipping costs would be fairly constant and predictable, however the cost of the lid could vary greatly. David may be able to give you a "ballpark" figure from a picture, but he would need to actually have the stein in order to marry it (the look and the size) to a lid from his inventory. He could then give you an actual price. Once you have the price from David, the decision, whether to have a stein relidded or not, is a personal one. David could help you decide if it makes sense as an investment, but most of us don't view our steins strictly as an investment.
