I hope this works to fix the photo links: <p> I wonder if anyone can help me identify a stein I found at an estate sale. It is 10 3/4" high & has painted underglaze molded relief features. The most prominent is an ogre's (?) face on the front neck, but there is also an amusing frieze around the body that shows a drunken revelry. There is a small hole in the handle top, but it doesn't go through, so I don't know if it had a lid or not, as there is also a spout. The base is smooth unglazed tan clay & the only marks are impressed "156" and a scratched-in "7".
