I have a 1/4 litre stein with German text that I cannot find a proper translation for. I invested three hours gleaning words from "1001 German Translations" and its supplement also connected with the Web Site ...babelfish.altavista...., suggested by John to another member. This translates literally but obviously can't project the nuance of the sentence. My three hour of research gave me the same result. On the positive side, I've learned quite a few German words, On the negative I still don't know what "Schoene Jung Fern und Kuehler Wein, Dazu Lustig und Froelich sein" mean in this case. I know that literally translated, some of the words, together, make sense but when I try to form an intelligent sentence, forget it. I know someone out there will feel my desperate cry for HELP!
