Thanks for the information John. I am still a novice at this. I was aware of some of the information that you passed on to me, however I'm trying to absorb too much in a short time. What I intended to say was "Westerwald blue". Hoping I have this right. The detailed info that you gave me does make it easier to comprehend. This was my first "Old", (SCI scale), stein that I purchased and although it can't be compared to the high scale old steins, at the moment, it was to me the closest thing to the Holy Grail.
