The letters D.R.G.M. mean Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster, or The design is protected. It is similar to a patent and the number is the patent number. Any number of different numbers could follow D.R.G.M. I had a Mathias Girscheid stein with a D.R.G.M. number and it was for a method of manufacturing hollow bases such as a music box would fit into. The German Patent Office can be contacted about various numbers and if they have it on file you can get a copy.
