Too all concerned: Please help me identify a family heirloom. This Stein has been in my family for at least 3 generations, and I would like to know a little more about it. I cant post a photo, but I feel my description will do it justice. Here goes...

Physical description- 11 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 bottom, 4 1/2 top. The stein itself has no proof marks that I can find, other than a hand scribed '4' on the bottom, as well as a stamped "GERMANY" and '1249' The scene depicted Are drunken hunters sleeping while various woodland creatures play around them. Around the base of the stein it says "GAR LuSTIG IST DIE JaGEREI" "AUF GRuNER GRuNER HEID" In the wooland scene, just behind a rabbit, above the word HEID, there is a stamp that looks like the letter 'T 'with the letter 'W' on top of it. The handle is a squirrel on a tree branch. The top of the mug (made of the same material)is 8" high, of a hunter smoking a pipe, long beard, and his dog standing in front of him. A letter 'B' with the letter K inside of it is present on a tree stump.

Color- the overall stein appears unpainted, with only green paint used in the foreground of the woodland scene, the hunters hat, and a few leaves. All details seem to have been 'washed' or 'highlited' with a medium brown.

Condition- Head of hunter (lid of stein)was cracked off years ago and repaired with epoxy. (real ugly) Other than that, it exhibits one 1/4' chip in the rim and one 1/4' chip on the base.

Now I leave it up to you kind folks to try to tell me what I am the proud owner of. Thanks again.
