I'd be glad to take a look at your pictures for what it's worth. I would need pictures of the front, the side showing the handle and capacity mark and ALL the bottom marks.
In the meantime, have you looked on ebay for like items. From your description, it sounds like a pretty standard Gerz stein. Send the pics and we'll see.
