This looks like a modern mark of Capo di Monte of Naples or a Capo di Monte type, see http://users.skynet.be/rutrene/marks32.html, http://www.onlinecollectibles.com/faq/capodimonte2.htm and http://www.capodimonte.com for a discussion of this type mark. As you can see in the articles, this mark has been copied by others. Without a lid, your stein is really a pitcher. At one time I had the Capo di Monte manufacturing site, but I can't locate it right now.
