It's fairly certain that neither of your steins have anything to do with Avon. The one numbered 83 was produced by A. Thewalt and first appears in a catalog dated 1898. Look for a Triangular mark with a "T" in it. Some copies can also be found decorated by Hauber & Reuther, which would be marked with an "HR" in addition to the Thewalt mark.

I'm unable to identify the manufacturer of the second stein on the basis of the information provided, but Perkeo was a legendary dwarf and keeper of the wine celler in Heidelberg castle and the text is from a song about Heidelberg that was popular in Germany at the end of the 19th century, leading me to believe that the second stein is probably about the same age as the first and of German manufacture.
