If you are into Munich breweries, you should try to get a copy of Bierkrüge bayerischer Brauereien by Walter Mück. This site also has some information on German brewery steins, http://www.bierkrugsammler.de/. Unfortunately, it is in German. However, you can use a translator to get an idea of the information provided. He has an interesting theory for dating brewery steins, but I am not sure of his source.
