I acquired a large and unusual German drinking vessel at an estate sale recently. It is in a beautiful wood box lined with foam hollowed out in the shape of the vessel. The vessel is shaped as a Screech Owl and has a certificate of some sort which is in German and therefore, I cannot read it. If someone would email me at jeffL2@comcast.net I could forward pics. I read the instructions on this web site but was lost within the first paragraph. Thanks in advance!

A German-English dictionary tells us that Kauz is German for owl. Near the bottom of the certificate is reference to drinking from the "Kauzen Pokal". A pokal is a drinking vessel with set on lid but no handle. If anyone has more information to offer to Jeff, I'm sure he will be pleased to receive it.
