By student association mark I presume you mean a Zirkel. This is not a Zirkel, it is most likely the artist. Is this a Merkelbach & Remy, Merkelbach & Wick or Reinhold Merkelbach stein? Die Neue Ara lists a Patriz Huber for Merkelbach & Wick. However, that book does not show a sample of his signature that was used on steins.
