UPDATE ON INITIALS PH OR HP
There is an auction on eBay from an estate in Austria. They have a blue and grey version of the St. Hubertus stein I recently purchased, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3258850409, but without the signature.
The same auction also has another Reinhold Merkelbach jugendstil stein up, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3258850607. While this style is more consistent with that practiced by Patritz Huber, the initials appear to be HP or AP. The seller sent me a picture of the initials and I will forward it to the Webmaster for posting.
If anybody can shed light on who this artist is, please make a post.
