Thanks for the feedback. That's very interesting. Do you know if all Sitzendorf steins have their Makers Mark on the stein handles too? Mine has a crown and the S with diagonal lines through it. The crown is on the thumb rest and the S is below. I gave it to my Father-In-Law for Christmas and it was one of his favorites- even favored over a Gerz limited edition stein that I gave him!
