We are moving from Illinois to Wisconsin and downsizing. I have some steins that I had purchased in Germany and have a feeling that they were mass produced, so may have more value at a garage sale, than with collectors. However, I would prefer if they do have value that they reside with someone who appreciates the value.
I have four of .75 L Gerz Great Cities of Germany collection, Koln (16), Heidelberg(14), Garmisch(26), and Munchen(8). Gold lettering on the bottom has the above numbers and something else that I can not make out.
I, also, have three - all the same 1 liter steins, that have the saying "Ruh Hast Du Nur In Der Schenke" on the bottom. The three tier number has DBGM 82 stamped on the bottom. I thought GM is short for company. In reading the material on marks I saw where something with an R signifies mass produced. Thanks for any help you can give. I was impressed by the professionalism on this message board and it speaks well for your hobby. go to someone
