I have just taken delivery of a stein which by pure luck turned out to be a Merkelbach & Wick 461 C. That was the good news. The bad news is that the ebay seller was less than honest, as it has two extensive hairline cracks, extending down from the top lip, neither of which were shown in the photo or the description. . As I only paid around $15 , it is not cost effective to attempt to send it back. Other than the hairlines it is in superb condition. Is there any method of restoration which can restore the integrity of the stein and to minimise the visible damage?. Item is ebay No. 3654660761
