Chris, You can have the cracks repaired at a cost of $50 to $150, just guesing as you also don't show a photo of the cracks. Would not repair it as cost of repair is more than the stein is worth. Enjoy it the way it is as a shelf piece and you could use the pewter lid in the future if you come across a mug that needs a lid and if it would fit properly. The value of the lid is worth $30 to $50 if you had to purchase an old replacement like it.
