We used to live in Speicher many years ago, when my husband was stationed at Spangdahlem AB. The pottery factory was just a couple of blocks away and I have many pieces. From what I remember, the largest part of their business seemed to be urns - to hold cremation ashes. It was a small family operation. They also made wine jugs and beer steins. I have a large Tureen that they made at the time. It looked more like a great punch bowl to me, so they quite agreeably created mugs to go with it. The pottery is a blue-gray color with a darker blue design. Similar to what would be called a salt glaze here in the US. The factory must also make some porcelain items because I remember going there with my (then) young children. Each time we went the woman would give them each a tiny porcelain dog. There were only a few different ones but they were really cute and they had lots by the time we returned to the US. Alas, they have all disappeared now - either broken or lost. They pieces do have the sticker on the bottom that you refer to. I think it even has a phone number and will look if you want more info.
