Hi Cheryl, Elfrieda Balzar-Kopp is one of the best known artist-potters in Hohr-Grenhausen Germany.I assume she has passed away.She was in her seventies in 1978.As far as I know her son is still in the shop.She made traditional as well as contemporqary salt-glazed ware.Do not part with the piece.Hard to say when exactly made.Hope this helps.
