HI....glad i found this forum. I recently bought a Mettlach stein #2075 with inlaid lid. It is beautiful, but it has a couple of problems. The last 1/4 inch of the thumb lift is missing, the handle has been broken off and reglued at both the top and the bottom (although there was almost no loss of porcelain, it is an amateurish job and could be done better), and there is a v-shaped crack at one place along the bottom rim. A few questions: Is this stein worth anything in its present condition? Is it better to have it restored or leave it as is? Does restoration hurt the value? Who does this kind of work? What might I expect it to be worth restored? Thanks for any info you can give. Jane
