Mettlach stein #1157 exists, it is described with "Cavaliers in four panels". Unfortunately, I found no picture of this stein, but as you describe it, you can be quite sure yours is a Mettlach.
Mettlach is pronounced like this: Met[spoken like in 'I have met someone']-lach [the 'a' is bright, as in 'answer' (british version)] For 'ch' there is no english equivalent. I think the ch in the scottish 'Loch' is spoken similarly. It is a sound spoken from 'deep inside', sounds a little like somebody is strangled. The stress is on the first syllable.
