Norma — As Jim indicated, No. 1157 is listed in the Mettlach Stein Catalog in the Beer Stein Library. If you haven't been able to locate it yet, click on the "Search" button near the top of the main menu page and then enter "1157", which will retrieve the listing. The stein, called "Knights" by Villeroy & Boch, matches your description pretty closely. The fact that you have a pewter lid doesn't necessarily mean that it's a replacement. However, even original pewter lids are less highly regarded by today's collectors than inlaid lids, reducing the market value by around 20%.
