hi Marc,Actually Walzenkrug is referring to the shape of the drinking vessel. A Walzenkrug was cylindrical in shape.This shape was used for Stoneware,Fayencen,Earthenware and other Steins.The popular shape before Walzen was Birnen formig or Pearshape.Bob,
