unknown lid  and  stein identification

I have a stein which I cannot identify but should be identifiable since the lid type is very unusual. It does not have the typical thumplip and is not connected to the handle. The lid is attached to the stein itself and there is a hinge on the lid. I believe the lid is tin. Does anyone have knowledge of this type of lid and/or the producer? There is an unclear mark either DA or BA
