A "barrel maker" is known as a "cooper." There are some specific tools of the trade, but most that are common across many trades. There are various hammers, drawknife (2 handle knife), bunghole drills, planes, pry-bars (for lack of the proper terminology), hatchets, axes, barrels for soaking wood sections, fire for heating, markers, gauges, etc. Suggest doing an internet search for "cooper barrel tools antique" and you'll find examples.
