What you saw was a request for help with photos to be used in an on-line M&R catalog being developed for the Beer Stein Library (www.beerstein.net). As I suppose should have been anticipated, most of the people who saw the announcement treated it in much the same way that you apparently did. That being the case, while the catalog is still in development, progress is slow and there are no plans for a release in the near future.
