In the estate of our father, is a beer stein, which our great uncle obtained from a German museum during World War II. It has a number of 179 located on bottom and near the handle. There is also the letter B located on the other side of the handle. It has a picture of a man dressed in possibly 1600 (am not sure about the year, just estimate)clothing, wearing a large hat with feather. He is holding a stein as if he just drank from it. The rest of the stein is flowering vines, all trimmed in gold. The stein is actually trimmed in gold throughout.

We would appreciate any information that you could provide or give us some direction as to whom we may contact to obtain a value on this stein.

Thanking you in advance.
