I have a beer stein undamaged handes down from my grandmother (late 19th cent.) with GERMANY I and a hand imprinted H are imprinted on bottom. It is 1/2 liter sized earthenware with a troll-like figure on top of the lid with the initials HB inprinted on a mug he is holding. There is a raised folklore scene of a man and a woman dancing wearing old German traditional costume. The stein is beige with a kelly green background. In the right hand corner of the design the initials KB are monogrammed. It says, :Ein frischer Trunk, ein Freundes=wort" on one side and "Die scheuchen alle Sorgen von uns fort" on the other. What can you tell me? Anyone???? Ruth
