There's no doubt about it. The top of Moltke's hat was white only in the smaller size. I'm reasonably certain that the .4L Moltke was never reproduced, but even if it was, the absence of a crosshatch (#) mark on the base guarantees that this stein was made prior to 1900. It's a rare find that should do well in the secondary marketplace, with or without the nose flaw.
