Hi, I have been going through my Uncle's estate and found some interesting steins. Since I know nothing of steins can anyone help me date and value them. They are all similar. I am the executress of his estate and am going to start giving his things to family members and would like to be able to give some info. The steins were made by Gerz. I'll give you an example of one of them. It has a triangle Germany on one side, Gerz on another the other side is worn away and I can't make out what was written. On the bottom is stated handgemais?2 and a markings. It's about 11 1/2" high to the top of the lid. The base is about 4 1/2" diam. It is lidded with a thumb piece. I think its pewter which looks tarnished. The scene is of a man and woman holding hands with a man standings between them and another man off to the side sitting on a tree stump holding what looks like a pipe. The two men standing eash have a rifle. The man holding the woman's hand is also holding a leash that has a dog attached. The backgound colors are dark blue and green (I guess for the grass). Under the handle is Gute Waid and Jagers Freud with the initials SG. I have photos but can't figure out how to attach it. Thanks in advance for any help. Jo
