Bought two steins at a junk shop the other day. One is a Reinholt Merkelbach made in 1936. The other was with it and looks quite old to me but I can't find anything about it. The only mark I see on the bottom is what looks like a capital "V" that is a little rounded on the bottom. It is a salt glaze with a picture of a man and a woman sharing a drink over a wooden barrel. Near the handle on both sides is a heart that is outlined in some type of vine with a flower in the center. The pewter lid is very oxidized and hard to make out the design. Looks like some small flowers with a lot of swirled lines and "XXX"s. I can send photos if someone thinks they can identify it.
