The 233 is model or form number and a quarter liter stein such as this MIGHT be worth $25-50 depnding on the exact piece, its condition and whether or not someone felt they had to have it in their collection. You didn't say if it was ivory colored stoneware or blue and grey. In this case blue and grey might be of better over all quality and fetch the higher price.
