I have inherited this stein from my father, and I would like to know how old it is, how much it is worth, and any history about it that anyone can give me. The dimensions are as follows: 7 2/3" tall w/o lid w/lid it measures about 10 1/2" tall, the base is 4 3/8" wide and the top is 2 3/4" wide. The words at the top say "Die Alten Deutschen Sie Tranken Noch Eins." The handle appears to be the trunk of a tree with 2 entertwining flowers/vines. The scene below that, looks like a celebration of the killing of a wolf that one of the hunters killed. There is a woman that is dropping something into the large kettle over the red flame and a dog that is watching the whole thing. It has beautiful relief on it. The bottom is stamped with the words "GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT, (umlout over the "u" in this word), and the numbers 1803 and 26. The pewter lid has some scrolling on it and a design of some kind on the thumb pull. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it, thanks. I will try to find out how to post the pictures for this stein when I do I will also post them, any suggestions? Roy
