the repros exist in all shapes (I have on in a pear shape as well), although the "straight ones" are by far more common. Almost all of them are handpainted. Look at this one, for example:

It has all one dreams of: Footring, handpainted, excellent technique, maybe Crailsheim style, old hinge, old pewter marks in the lid, glaze crazing, made in the old technique, very light material. Is it an original? I must admit that I don't know. It's not marked on the bottom. It looks not very worn, but it's also possible that it's just very well preserved. Any ideas?
