Greetings all! I thought that I may have come across a "Find" in the HR class. eBay item 2258788335 was, I believed at first, an HR stein. I asked the seller for a closer view, and in focus this time, of the bottom. John McGregor's CD "HR Steins and the Freising Factory, Revisited" was my reference tool. The "type 7" incised capacity mark applies to Merkerlbach and Wick (MWG), the bottom revealed the partly incised MWG logo and part of the letter "N" imprinted on the surface. The HR logo does not appear on this stein. The information contained in John's CD regarding MWG steins of that era allowed me to avoid bidding for the wrong reason. The word "Germany" however, is not present, I wonder if this is a pre 1887 stein as the Merchandise Mark Act went into effect in that year. P.S., John, this is the fourth time that your CD proves to be a great investment. Regards, Tony B
