Shannon — I don't think the answer to that one is goung to help you much with identification, since the period runs from the last quarter of the 19th century through the first quarter of the 20th and beyond, encompassing at least part of the lifetime of avery factory which might be a possibility. Even the saying on the stein can be found on the products of most makers, so the odds on a specific identification without help from a catalog or a comparable marked example fall somewhere between slim to none. - fjl
