Tony, of course you've seen it in Mettlach. I've also seen the white glaze in JWR, HR, and it seems like I've seen it in others, but can't remember whose. I don't know that you would call JWR a high-profile manufacturer or not. Apparently the technology was availble. I can't comment on a comparison of "how white is white" for different manufacturers.
Ron, does your Girmscheid Mettlach-Look-Alike have a white glaze interior? (See Stein-of-the-Month Archives)
