Hi Shannon,
if the steins only could talk...I think the stamp on the bottom has nothing to do with the manufacturing, but with the history of this stein. The stamp reads "Der Polizeipräsident in Bromberg", meaning "The chief constable in Bromberg [a city]". What is below I can't read, but I guess the stamp was applied because the stein was either confiscated or as an exhibit part of the inventory of the police in Bromberg. I'd really love to interview this stein.
