For the best information, you would have to provide pictures as is suggested at the top of the Stein Talk page.
From your description,your stein appears to have been made by Original King. If it is an olympic stein, they come up on ebay regularly by various makers and sell for modest amounts.
Munich last hosted the olympics in 1972.
