Seeking Identification and information about stein

I recently purchased an unusual stein and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me who the maker was, how old it may be, what the missing lid may have looked like, and a ballpark guess at its value. I'm attaching the photo URLs. The stein appears to be larger than 0.5L; I'd guess it was more like 0.75L. The lid, of course, is missing but the thumblift is present. The stein is a figural barrel with vines wrapping themselves around it. The handle is a figural Ram (or Goat?). The motto on the barrel is "Hopfen und Malz Gott erhalt's." The bottom of the stein is concave and bears the incised numbers "2710" (or it could be "2713") with what looks like a letter "E" or "F." (See if you can figure it out from the photos, if you can - I'm stumped!) The coloring seems rather unusual - dark blue at top and bottom and grey/tanish in the middle. Also a silvered band at top and bottom and guilded highlights and edges around the motto.

It has already been suggested this may be from Utzschneider et Cie (Saarguemines)by Walt Vogdes who was kind enough to post my photos on the SCI website. Here's the URLs for the steins:
