I was given a stein for my birthday in 1995 that a friend had picked up while he was in the Air Force and stationed in Germany. On the stein it has beautiful detailed drawings of villages along the Rhein. on one side it has the Rhein river at the top of the stein it has writing that says Der Rhein VON MAINZ-KOBLENZ. On the other side it has a castle painted and has like a frame around it with grapes and leaves. On the bottom it has a emblem circle that says original Gerzit. Inside the circle is a triangle with a picture not sure what it is and under the triangle it says Gerz W. Germany. Under that there is a number 5. I am interested in the history of the stein and its value. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
