The stein was manufactured by Reinhold Hanke ca.1880. The head and body are mismatched.While the head is that of a monk the body is that of a rich man in his smoking jacket. This is fairly common to find such mismatched pieces. I think the factories found it a cheap way to produce a different variety. The Freising factory mixed heads and bodies on a number of their pieces. Price it as you would any Hanke character stein from this period.
