John, Thank you for the clarification. As to the stein pictured, what date would you set for it? It seems that everyone has a "rule of thumb" that differs and so becomes confusing. I know the question has been rehashed over and over. It is similar to the West Germany Vs Germany mark especially on R.M steins. It seems that even though made in West Germany pre-unification, some steins still bear the Germany only mark, but I constantly see and hear claims that this means pre WWII. Ron S.
