I will assume that this piece has no lid, since you didn't mention any. What you have is a modern brewery mug for the Hackerbräu brewery in Munich. The began operation in 1417, and are one of the major breweries in that city. Since it is marked "Western Germany" we know it was made between 1945 and 1990. For beer steins, this is quite new, and there is no difference in value between one piece that is 15 years old and another that is 55. The value, in "as new" condition, is probably about $5.
