Thanks for the information John. I noticed that you posted a reply to Chuck Stauffer on 10/22 regarding "Small Stein German Lettering" indicating that stein was a Merkelbach & Wick of Grenzhausen ca. 1890-1900. My two steins look exactly the same regarding the body and decoration but the mold number is different. Could these steins be that much alike yet be from different manufacturers?
